So, I recently bought an ancient world map at a local yard sale in my neighborhood. And after a bit more time touring a number of neighborhoods for miscellaneous items to use for décor in my home, I happened upon a relatively unattractive print in a nice frame.

A tent for all 4 seasons PDF Print E-mail

Are you an outdoors lover? I find that less and less people I come into contact with like the great outdoors. What's with this? A bout with Mother Nature is probably exactly what many city-goers need. It's a wake-up call. You know, one of those experiences that make you realize that there's more to this world than mere concrete and exhaust fumes. It's a time to get back the primordial side of things. Step away from the urban jungle and into the real deal.

After that first breath of fresh air and that calm silence hit you, you'll certainly have a new love for nature. Of course then you will also need some decent supplies. After all, it's not like you can tackle the big bad woods without the proper equipment. When it comes to camping, hiking, rock scaling, and mountain biking, there are some imperative tools of the trade. This brings me to 4 season tents.

Do you own any 4 season tents? You know, the ones that are suited for all levels of weather. I don't care if you're battling the summer heat and humidity, grappling with a nasty blizzard, or keeping out of a harsh thunderstorm; 4 season tents are what you need. I can recall back in the day when I used to head off on my own for a weekend in the woods. Of course this woods was on our own property, but it was an adventure nevertheless. I had my own camping supplies which included a good knife, a mummy bag, a two-man tent, canteen, and plenty of matches.

Yep, you could say I was a regular Crocodile Dundee wannabe. I was always prepared to battle the forces of nature with a grin on my face. However, there was always one problem. It concerned my tent. We of course didn't have the 4 season tents at that time. For some reason every time I would head off on a camping trip, I would get rained on at some point during the night. Now, this wasn't a problem that couldn't be dealt with.

I slept well in my two-man tent, regardless of the precipitation. Although, it did bother me that if I touched the inside wall of my tent, it would begin to leak. What was the deal with that? Not exactly advanced you might say. Luckily for all today's campers there are trusty 4 season tents to get the job done perfectly, with modern fabrics. Hop online and see what they're all about. Find the absolute best deals on 4 season tents in cyberspace.

Travel guides for Europe PDF Print E-mail

What place are you just dying to go visit? Have you been clear around the United States yet? In all honesty, I haven't even visited half the states at this point. Although I am anxious to see most of them. Typically if you talk to most Americans, they will tell you how much they want to visit France or Venice, Italy. Does this sound familiar by any chance? I'm sure if you have a teenage daughter, you've probably heard the spiel regarding Paris. We've all heard that one before. Fortunately we have an infinite source of data now days. The World-Wide-Web supplies us with any information we desire. Have you checked out Europe travel guides? This is a great way to begin your next - or first - International adventure.

Do you have any Europe travel guides lying around? Well, if you're headed off to that area soon, then you probably do. I certainly don't recommend venturing off to London empty handed. Don't act like you know where you're going. Do you really think foreigners enter this country on vacations with no U.S. travel guides? Of course they purchase them, and for the same reason we buy Europe travel guides. I know I don't want to head off to Rome with no clue as to where I'm going. We all go to see certain sites and taste wonderful foods.

However, we usually need decent Europe travel guides to know how to get to these places and landmarks. My wife is originally from Germany. One summer she decided to go visit her mother-land. Being the party pooper that I am, I stayed behind with the little ones and let her venture off to Europe with her mother. Regardless, she had a wonderful time in Germany and was able to see how Berlin functions in comparison to our cities. She was amazed at how much they walk, on a regular basis. No wonder our country is so out of shape. We need to walk more. Luckily my wife had purchased one of those Europe travel guides online before getting on that plane.

Are you all hyped up to go visit Milan? Have a desire for Dresden?  Hey, you had better invest in a few Europe travel guides before taking off. These are easy to come by. Hop on your laptop and start a search for Europe travel guides. You may also be able to search your local library online.  Find the ones that are the most detailed and most recommended by other travelers. Europe travel guides will make your International experience much more worthwhile. Know where you're going before you get there.

The alarm clock blues PDF Print E-mail

Whoa! What is that horrific sound that just woke me from a perfect slumber? Oh, it's that dreadful alarm clock again. Yes, we all know well our own clock's version of the unbearable noise. Those good old alarm clocks are made responsible for waking us up every morning and forcing us to head out to work, school, or other activities. Okay, well maybe not exactly. However, if they didn't bother us with those ear-piercing chimes, we wouldn't have to wake up; right? The fact is we can't exactly blame our alarm clocks for having to rise bright and early, but it does pay to have a decent sounding one. You know, one that will stir your eyelids and ears, but not jolt you out of a perfect sleep. When it comes down to it, that alarm sound is simply an inevitability of our daily lives. Therefore let's make it a pleasant one.

So, what kind of alarm clock do you slap every morning? I have to admit, back when I was in high school, I couldn't even hear the digital ones. I literally had to purchase one of those old-school alarm clocks with the hammer between the two bells. Good God those things are loud. There's just no way you can sleep through the wrath of the primitive alarm clocks. One morning I apparently woke up and attacked mine, then went back to sleep. Well, I shouldn't have set it on a Saturday in the first place. The thing looked like someone had disassembled it. That was a strange day. Anyway, since alarm clocks are a must in our contemporary world of hustle and bustle, we all need to find a good one. Have you actually checked out some of the more modern alarm clocks? I was flabbergasted when I first spotted the light one. Okay, you may have never seen it before, but it's truly unique. It is basically a small globe that lights up gradually like the sun rising next to your bed. When the light gets too bright, you wake up. Now that's technology. This marvel is supposed to produce a more natural awakening for the sleeper who doesn't want to be shocked out of bed with a loud blare.

A great place to browse for alarm clocks these days is the web. Search and get ready for a plethora of alarm clocks to suit anyone's needs and desires. When you shop online, you're sure to pinpoint the best deals, and refrain from getting shafted. The sites like Brookstone and Sharper Image and others offer quality alarm clocks today.

Jump rope memories PDF Print E-mail

When I was a young girl my favorite activity to do with my friends was jump rope. When the school bell rang for recess we would run for the door, grab the jump rope and find our favorite spot on the playground. It did not matter how many people you had, as long as you had at least three people.  Everyone had a turn and there were no picking teams. When I was in 5th grade the craze was Chinese jump rope. This was an interesting pass time because you had to perform several crossing patterns with an elastic rope that was sewn in a circle. I remember a girlfriend and I would loop one end around a pole and then we would take turns holding the over end. As each pattern was completed the elastic cord was raised higher above the ground.
